Silk Road | Winter '23 VIP Night

Drawing inspiration from the famous Silk Route, our newest collection Silk Road takes us on a journey through the Oriental Bazaars of Persia. Fusing traditional Eastern textiles and contemporary Western silhouettes, the designs are timeless & sophisticated with a touch of bohemian flair.

Director and Head Designer of OnceWas, Belinda Glynn, said the collection was inspired by discovery and journeys “This winter collection is a celebration of the beauty and diversity of Eastern culture, and our love for the art of travel. Combining traditional Eastern textiles with contemporary Western designs we’ve created a collection that is both timeless and versatile. It is designed to be worn by individuals who enjoy incorporating a mix of cultural influences into their personal style and can appreciate investment pieces that can be dressed up or down.” Belinda said.

To celebrate the launch of this exciting collection, we invited our Melbourne VIP customers to our HQ before they were released to the public! With champagne and charcuterie, our VIPs were the first to lay eyes on our new collection and were able to purchase their favourite pieces before the public. Welcomed by our team, they were provided with a personal shopping experience, styling advice plus a behind-the-scenes look at our design process!
