If you find something isn’t quite right, we are happy to offer an exchange or return providing you meet our Returns Policy.

To be eligible for Return or Exchange:

  • Please return your order within 14 days of dispatch
  • Ensure items are returned in original condition, unworn, unaltered, unwashed, with original packaging and with all original tags attached.

EXCHANGES

  • Enjoy instant exchanges. From the moment you lodge your exchange in our portal, your new piece is dispatched within 24 hours, meaning you get your items faster!

  • We offer free shipping on all exchanges making finding the perfect size effortless

  • Peace of mind knowing you have 14 days from dispatch to return eligible items

RETURNS

  • Returns are available for full priced items only

  • All returns for refund will be a flat fee of $15. We offer Free Exchanges!

  • Full price orders purchased with Afterpay or Klarna are eligible for a credit note or an exchange*, refunds are subject to a service fee of up to 8%

FINAL SALE

Items marked FINAL SALE are not eligible for return or exchange, unless deemed faulty

HOW TO LODGE A RETURN

Return Requests can be made through our Online Returns Portal. Please have your order number and email handy. Please make sure you have read our Returns Policy prior to purchasing/lodging a request to know what your return is eligible for.

You have 14 days from date of dispatch to lodge a return.

You have 21 days from date of dispatch to lodge a return. All International Returns are at the expense of the customer. Please email hello@oncewas.com.au to organise a Return Request

All full priced items purchased via credit card, debit card or Paypal are eligible for a full refund, credit note or an exchange*, subject to our returns policy.

Any full priced items purchased with Klarna or Afterpay are eligible for a credit note or an exchange* to the full value of the original purchase, or a refund less 8% service fee. This can be processed through our Returns Portal

All full priced items purchased via Paypal pay in 4 are eligible for a full refund, credit note or an exchange*, subject to our returns policy.

All full priced items purchased using society discounts up to $70 are eligible for a full refund, credit note or an exchange*, subject to our returns policy.

All full priced items purchased using society discounts higher than $70 are only eligible for credit notes* or exchange*.

All items purchased using a “welcome” code or “First time purchase” discount code are eligible for a refund, credit note* or an exchange*, subject to our returns policy.

All full priced items purchased using any other promotional/sale codes other than “First time purchase/welcome” codes are only eligible for credit notes* or exchange*, subject to our returns policy.

No returns will be accepted on final sale items unless they are deemed faulty when received.

We pride ourselves on maintaining high standards in quality & all our garments are thoroughly checked prior to dispatch. In the unlikely event of a manufacturing fault, we will gladly repair the item & if the fault is irreparable, we will replace or refund if a replacement is unavailable, at no cost to you.

Returns to OnceWas are for items bought via our website only. If you have purchased a OnceWas piece from a stockist you will need to contact them directly as each store will have their own Returns Policy/Terms and Conditions

TRY BEFORE YOU BUY RETURNS

Please note if you have made a purchase through TRY BEFORE YOU BUY you will need to process your return through a separate portal.

LEATHER ITEM RETURN INSTRUCTIONS

If you wish to return or exchange a leather garment, please ensure the following steps are followed to protect the item:

  • Neatly fold the garment and place it back into the white protective bag provided.

  • Place the protective bag into the return satchel, ensuring the garment is safely enclosed.

  • Do not allow tape or plastic to come into direct contact with the leather, as this can cause damage.

  • If you are returning other items along with the leather garment, please keep them separate to prevent colour transfer.

 Please note that failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in damage to the garment, which may result in the garment not being eligible for refund or exchange.

TYPE OF RETURN OUTCOMES

For a limited time we are offering FREE SHIPPING on all exchanges. A return label will be provided once you complete your exchange selection in our Returns Portal. Please post your return back to us within 3 business days. Your new item sent out within 24 hours and a holding fee will be placed on your card (Please note that if we do not receive your return back to our warehouse within 14 days the full amount will be charged to your card).

Please post your return back to us within 3 business days. We will process your return and email you your credit note within 48 hours of receiving your return to our warehouse. Online Credit Notes are valid for 1 year from date of issue.
