Celebrating Her 🖤

Mother's Day is a time to honour our mothers for all they do. From raising us, nurturing life in so many ways, being there through everything and providing endless love and guidance.

We design with all women in mind and believe our pieces are the perfect investment for mothers in any stage of their journey. The importance of versatility and wearability through special moments in life is a large part of our design process and we love that our customers find multiple uses for their OW garments.
Featuring relaxed fits that adapt to changing body shapes and button-down designs that makes nursing effortless. Our coat dresses in particular, provide the option to wear as a dress or open as a lightweight layering coat, the styling options for pieces like this are limitless and assist in making garments adaptable for all stages of life. The Halston Cross Front Knit from our new Autumn collection has been really popular for our breastfeeding mums.
In celebration we asked some of our OW mothers to capture how they have worn and loved their OW pieces through motherhood and beyond.

New mother & influencer, Britney Woods

"I love dressing my bump in non-maternity wear, this top will also be perfect for breastfeeding as I just got my normal size and as you can see it’s very accessible."

Mother & Head of Wholesale, Linda Cerny
“I love how OnceWas pieces can be worn loose to cover a growing baby bump & then can be belted and cinched in the waist after birth. I literally lived in my OnceWas dresses and tops when I was pregnant & the first year of Misha’s life. When we go away on family holidays my dresses became even more versatile as I wear them open over my bikinis then buttoned up with my favourite sandals for dinner.”

Mother & Videographer, Rozanna Chrapot.
“During my pregnancy I found that I was able to continue wearing my pieces, both for work and social events. I was SO big and uncomfortable by the end of my pregnancy but wearing my dress as a kaftan, I felt that it hid all the parts I wanted to hide and made me feel comfortable and confident. Post birth, my pieces were perfect too; with so many visitors to meet our son while feeling exhausted and not myself, having beautiful clothing that actually fit me and made me feel comfortable was vital. As a breastfeeding & working mum, buttons on the garments make it quick and easy for feeding or pumping, as well as tops that are loose and easily movable. Furthermore, babies are super messy haha! I have found my pieces to wash well and still look pristine, my son is now 17 months old. At the moment I live in my Halston Bomber with my activewear, it's perfect for creche drop off & pick up.”
