You Might Be Buying the Wrong Fit (And Not Even Realising It)

If you're 5’4” (162cm) or under, there’s a good chance you’ve spent years adjusting your clothes without questioning why. Rolling sleeves. Shortening hems. Avoiding certain silhouettes altogether. It becomes second nature. But what if the issue was never your size, or your style, but the proportions you’ve been buying?

“For years, I would hear women say they loved our pieces, but they couldn’t quite make them work for their height. It was never about the design, it was about how it translated on their body.” — Belinda Abbott, Founder & Creative Director

THIS IS NOT A PETITE COLLECTION

Classic vs 5'4 fit (same garment, different proportions).

This isn’t about being smaller. It’s about proportion. Because most clothing isn’t designed with shorter frames in mind, not intentionally, but structurally.

“When we started developing this range, we realised very quickly that you can’t just take length off a garment and expect it to work. Every element has to be reconsidered, the sleeve, the waist, the volume. Otherwise it still doesn’t feel right.” — Belinda Abbott

5'4 vs CLASSIC: WHAT’S ACTUALLY DIFFERENT

At first glance, the pieces look the same. That’s intentional. But behind the seams:
- Lengths are carefully reduced
- Waistlines are repositioned
- Volume is rebalanced
- Silhouettes are re-proportioned, not resized

You still wear your usual size. But the way it sits on the body changes completely.

“We were very conscious of protecting the integrity of each design. It wasn’t about creating something new, it was about refining what already exists so it feels effortless on a different frame.” — Belinda Abbott

IF YOU’VE EVER LOVED IT ON THE HANGER… BUT NOT ON YOU

This is where it becomes personal. This collection isn’t just for women who identify as “petite.” It’s for anyone who has ever:
- Bought something and never worn it
- Felt like a piece needed fixing to work
- Avoided certain silhouettes altogether
- Wondered why something looked better on someone else

“I didn’t want women to feel like they had to compromise on style just because of their height. This collection is about removing that barrier, so you can choose what you love, and trust that it will work for you.” — Belinda Abbott

BELINDA’S DESIGN NOTES

“This collection was incredibly considered from the very beginning. We didn’t want to approach it as a ‘petite’ add-on, we approached it as a complete rethinking of proportion.

Every adjustment required us to rethink the entire garment. Where does the waist sit? How does the sleeve balance with the body? Does the volume still feel intentional?

What surprised me most was how subtle the changes are visually. but how transformative they feel when you wear the piece. It’s that rare moment when clothing just sits right, without effort or thought.

That’s really what we were designing for.” — Belinda Abbott

Across our reviews, one theme continues to come through:
When proportions are right, everything changes. Pieces feel easier. More natural. More considered from the moment they’re worn.

If you’ve ever struggled with fit, this isn’t just another collection.

It’s a different way of dressing.

A way where nothing needs to be altered.

Nothing needs to be fixed.

Nothing needs to be compromised.
